I love talking GEAR! From products I personally use for my weight training sessions to some of my favorite apparel, you will find it all here! I hope you will share your favorites too! We will have a pretty good lineup of ‘favorites’ once everyone shares theirs.

Lets start clothing, I bought the most adorable tank from ‘Living Proof Gear’ on FB! She custom makes the clothing so it takes a few weeks but its totally worth it! For those of you who have seen my ‘Messy Bun, Whole Lotta Coffee and Jesus Kinda Day’ tank, this is where I ordered it. Check out her other products atΒ https://www.etsy.com/shop/LivingProofGear

She also has a FB page too! πŸ™‚

For those who love to train legs or have any sort of knee issues, these are my favorite knee sleeves. I like to squat heavy and deadlift so these come in handy. Even if you are training legs and hitting basic moves, these help to keep the knee joint warm helping reduce discomfort. Β They are sold at http://www.Rehband.com or http://www.RogueFitness.com

The next product isn’t really “gear’ but I am putting it on this forum as well so you don’t miss it! This stuff is amazing. Alex and I both met the Founder of this product in N.C. tried it ourselves and really like it. Its magnesium oil from dead sea minerals from the dead sea along with a homeopathic blend of essential oils and arnica. This helps with healing joint issues and muscle recovery BIG TIME. To order you can visit http://www.mg12.com but we are getting set up to have this available on our website as well so stay tuned! Our Members get discounted pricing.

My favorite shoes are Converse ‘Chuck Taylors’ for training. They are a good flat soled shoe and he offers high tops or regular versions. The key is to make sure you are weight training with shoes that are study and supportive. Always be sure to check the sole of your shoes that they are not unevenly worn or this could throw off your gait.

6 pack cooler (or any cooler for the matter)

I always say proper prep prevents failure. When you prepare your meals and snacks ahead of time and take the time to think ahead, you are ensuring your long term success and preventing food emergencies. Having a good cooler to store all of these meals and snacks is an essential. I always say, you won’t find me without my gym bag & cooler! The 6 pack cooler I find to be a crazy awesome invention.. they sell so many different types and each stores a variety of things so you can choose what best fits your needs. These are sold online or even on amazon. Just look up 6 pack cooler and let me know what you think!

To help create a mini home gym, medicine balls go a long way! A lot of the ‘Workout Plans’ we have listed in the forum include use of these.

This next piece of equipment is my FAVORITE! THE WOSS (similar to the TRX but a lot less expensive). I own 5 of them and not only use them with clients but for myself as well! I do encourage you to have a FIRM and sturdy hook that safely secures this to a beam and not just strapped over the door. They do say this is possible but if you will be working on the WOSS quite a bit, I recommend a sturdier option.

The BOSU ball is one of my FAVORITE pieces of equipment for the home gym. You can do a variety of challenging exercises on this including pushups, balancing exercise and some great core moves. For around $100 you can have this in your home to use daily! It is sold on Amazon, PerformBetter.com and I also believe Costco sells them as well.

I love old navy best for workout pants, bras, and tanks! Seems like there is always a sale. I’m particular to pants with pocket on the thigh for my phone.

What do you think about compression leggings? Do they really help for soreness? Somedays the arnica gel and foam roller just don’t cut it!

    #1478

    Hi Aria,

This could be worth a try. I have not had personal experience with these but I do know that soaking in magnesium salts or epsom salts post workout helps too! I have a product I listed here that I love too! It has helped me personally ALOT. Mg12! It is magnesium and works wonders! I will send you a pic πŸ˜‰ It is best done after a workout and just before bed.

Let me know about the leggings! Love your ‘thumbnail pic’ too! πŸ™‚

    Ashley,

Can you share the link to your foam roller?! I’m dying to get one, but want it to be the one you have.
