Elizabeth – Happy Healthy Caregiver
Hi Alex & Ashley,
I have two teenagers in sports, a husband who sells beer for a living, I work full time, and have an active social life. While I plan meals and control my environment at home to follow my personal nutrition plan, I get tripped up out and about and especially at social events or when we are running around like a crazy family.
Thinking back over the past couple of weeks, here are some of the food items I have indulged in. What are some healthier choices or substitutions I could make
Dinner on the go…Chickfila Grilled Nuggets with chickfila sauce & Fries
Appetizer with family friends at Mexican restaurant…Chips & Queso
working lunch at the office…Jimmy John’s turkey avocado sandwich with Salt & Vinegar Chips
3pm office temptation…Birthday Cake at the office
I deserve a relaxing night out reward…Wine at bookclub with girlfriends
Social snacking with neighbors…Twizzlers at the pool
Family fun night…Movie theater popcorn and diet cherry coke
Work events where options are limited..cheese & cracker platter
Don’t worry I didn’t eat it all in one day or even in one week but these are some of the items I get tripped up on.
