What good is it to learn without taking action? The KEY to living a healthy lifestyle is to take action and our hopes for the A+A Wellness ‘Inner Circle’ Members Club is to give you tools on how you can take action in your daily life.

This thread will contain action items and suggestions from us on how to begin APPLYING what you are learning in the Inner Circle as well as on the blog.

Remember, do not just browse the forum but stay tuned to ‘Our Blog’ as well! When you are logged in, you will have access to special ‘members only’ posts that the public cannot see.

Check back to this forum frequently for new ‘action items’ and be sure to let us know how you are applying all that you are learning.

We are so happy to be a part of your journey to health.

    Hi guys!
I am doing a 6 part series on ‘Proper Goal Setting’ and have posted the first two parts for you!
I would love to propose the following action items for the latest members posts (up on the blog)

Step one of ‘Proper Goal Setting’ is setting SMART goals. Read the blog post here.

TAKE ACTION ON STEP ONE: The ‘take action’ plan for this is to comment and write out some of your goals detailing the SMART outline. You can write and share one goal OR you can share as many as you like! The key is to have it here on the forum where you can be held accountable AND we can support your efforts!

Step two of ‘Proper Goal Setting’ is preventing OVERSTIMULATION. Read the blog post here.

    TAKE ACTION ON STEP TWO:
Your action item for this step is to comment below on how you may be overstimulated in your life as well as ways you will work on this during this upcoming week. Again, the key is to hold each other accountable and offer a support network through the Inner Circle! I am looking forward to hearing all of the progress you make this next week.

    Ready….set…GO!

TAKE ACTION ON STEP THREE: of ‘Proper Goal Setting’ PLANNING AHEAD

    A) Get your planner Planning ahead starts with what you pencil in to your calendars! Over the years, I have gone through hundreds of options and I found one that really allows me the options I needed (they don’t pay me to tell you this, LOL!) but I came across a ‘Passion Planner’ and was hooked! I have my daily, weekly and monthly options as well as some clever ways to build in my goal setting and breaking down those goals to make sure each piece is getting done daily!

If you already have a planner that works for you, kudos! If not, stop over and check out the website for PP and get yours so you can start organizing those thoughts into one place!

    B) Choose your meal prep day for this coming week and start by making your grocery list out and preparing your meals in advance. Click HERE for our ‘Healthy Shopping Guide’ to help you with making your grocery list and click HERE for our delicious A+A Wellness Functional Superfood Smoothie recipes (these make GREAT breakfast options or are perfect for those times you need a quick meal).

If you have questions just ask and I would love to see how you are applying your very own ‘action items’ into place! Before you know it, you will be a GOAL CRUSHING machine! 🙂

TAKE ACTION ON STEP FOUR: of ‘Proper Goal Setting’ DOING THE RIGHT THINGS RIGHT.

    A) Think about your upcoming week and all that you have to manage each day. (Use your planner) and each day write out what and how you will time your ‘weight training’ and ‘cardio’ so that it best fits your day but sticks to the guidelines listed in this post.
If you missed part 4 simply click HERE to read.

TAKE ACTION ON STEP 5 of ‘Proper Goal Setting’: BUILDING THE RIGHT SUPPORT NETWORK

    A) Do you have someone in your life you feel you’ve failed to communicate properly with? Have the tough conversation. Remember, always speak out of love and not anger. Go through the blog post for step 5 and write out in advance our concerns, thoughts etc so that you are properly prepared when sitting down with whomever it is that you need to speak with.

    B) Share with the group how you will be making some changes or what you are currently doing to add a positive extra layer of support to your life.

    C) Share about a time you were close to giving up but found it within yourself to keep going.
*The whole goal of the A+A Inner Circle is to encourage communication and support among each other. Your thoughts/comments are always held in confidence here.

I can’t wait to sit down this weekend and map out my goals and how I’m going to get there. I have physical, personal, financial, and career goals to achieve! It is hard to find a balance sometimes and not let one area of my life suffer for another. I am trying to achieve a body fat goal, write a novel, move up in my company, and get eight hours of sleep each night. That’s a lot!

Oh, Aria! 🙂 I am so excited about this. The things I have found which helps well is breaking down each GOAL onto its own sheet of paper OR I also have a dry erase board where I break my goals down. This way, you can easily see each of your goals (you will have to map them out in order of importance) because sometimes we need to reach one goal in order to reach another .. make sense? Sometimes our goals are dependent on each other.

I also ask myself, what are THE MOST important things to do first? This is sometimes hard to figure out.
Go through the 6 part series for EACH goal! You will be amazed at how much clarity it brings and how it helps you to better organize things.

    So proud of you!

I’m going through the entire goal process now! I’m writing it down and making a plan that I will share online in the Action Plan. Thank you for the steps!

    Elizabeth,
GREAT news! How is it coming with your goal setting? Makes a BIG difference when you sit down and really focus on these things. One of the BIGGEST pieces to this journey is visualization. So proud of you!!
Have a great rest of the week & happy Hump day!
